This summer 26 schools in Salem-Keizer will receive renovations funded by the 2008 Construction Bond.
This is the third consecutive summer of extensive renovations for our district. When school starts again in the fall, the district will have renovated more than half of its 66 schools over the course of the bond program.
A list of all projects planned for 2012 is available for download.
Campuses Closed During the Summer
Renovations this summer at 14 of the 26 schools will be extensive, and the school campuses will be closed to ensure the safety and efficiency of the construction site. The school campuses listed in the table below will be closed for summer.
|Pre-Kindergarten||Elementary Schools||Middle Schools||High Schools|
Temporary Summer Office Locations
There will be no access until fall to the school buildings or grounds at the schools listed in the table above. Each school will have a temporary summer office location to serve students and families.
Temporary office locations are listed on each school’s page. Hours will vary by school, and will be posted on the district website before summer break.
The remaining 12 schools that will experience renovations will remain open for summer. However, due to construction schedules, there may be some adjustments made to summer activities schedules at each school.
Renovations funded by the construction bond will help create healthier, safer learning environments for students.
Thank you Salem-Keizer for supporting the 2008 bond measure and improved learning environments. By law, bond funds can only be used for repairs and renovations, and cannot be used for school operations.
