North Salem High School principal Cynthia Richardson has received the Oregon Assembly for Black Affairs (OABA) Education Award for 2012.
The OABA selected Richardson for her demonstration of education as the tool for students to use in attaining their goals in life, and for her efforts to help all students in Salem-Keizer to succeed while being responsive, accountable and productive within and to the Oregon Black community.
The OABA annually recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the political, educational, social, legal and economic development of Blacks in Oregon.
