The district's elementary-level Battle of the Books competition took place earlier today at the Salem Public Library. There were 15 schools that competed, answering specific questions from a list of several books.

Each team assigned a spokesperson and was allowed 15 seconds to collaborate before answering each question. The top teams moved onto the second round.

Candalaria and Miller Elementary schools entered into a tie-breaker session to see which team would compete against Myers Elementary in the final round. Both teams correctly answered 12 questions, and the judges decided to have a three-way finals competition.
